Clearing a recurring high-dusting audit finding on a production floor
The challenge
Daily floor-level cleaning was solid, but nobody held clear responsibility for ceiling beams, ductwork and high shelving, which meant dust accumulated above head height between audits and kept showing up as the same finding.
Our approach
- Scoped a dedicated quarterly high-dusting programme covering beams, ductwork, light fittings and high shelving, separate from the daily floor cleaning contract
- Scheduled high-dusting visits around planned production downtime to avoid any disruption to output
- Logged each visit against the site's own audit checklist categories so findings could be mapped directly to completed work
- Added a six-monthly building wash to address exterior grime contributing to intake air quality near loading doors
