Our Story

Founded in 2017, built on Auckland commercial work

Kris Facility Services started in 2017 with a single carpet cleaning contract for an Auckland office block. The brief was simple: do the job properly, turn up when you say you will, and tell the client the truth about what a floor or a carpet actually needs.

That approach brought in gardening and grounds work, then window cleaning and building washing, then handyman maintenance, as existing clients asked us to take on more of what their sites needed. A decade on, we support shopping malls, corporate office parks and manufacturing sites across Auckland and beyond, including a long running contract with a national FMCG manufacturing brand and several regional retail centre operators. Auckland is still home base, but we take on commercial contracts anywhere in New Zealand where the work fits.

Our focus has stayed on commercial and industrial sites the whole time, with no side business pulling attention away from the clients that rely on us for a scheduled, predictable standard of work.

What we stand for

The standards that do not move, whatever the site

Accountability

One site lead owns each contract, so there is always a named person who answers for the work, not a call centre.

Health and safety first

Every crew works to a documented health and safety plan aligned with the Health and Safety at Work Act, with site-specific inductions before work starts.

Built for commercial scale

Every process, vehicle and piece of equipment is built around what commercial and industrial sites actually need, at the scale malls, offices and manufacturing plants run at.

Straight talking

If something cannot be fixed by cleaning, or a repair needs a licensed trade, we say so rather than quoting for work we should not be doing.

Equipment and approach

We run commercial-grade hot water extraction units for carpet cleaning, low pressure and soft wash systems for building exteriors, water-fed pole and access equipment for window cleaning at height, and floor machines rated for the strip, scrub and burnish cycle that commercial flooring needs. Equipment is maintained on a set schedule so a breakdown does not become your problem mid-contract.

Health and safety

Every crew member completes a site-specific induction before working unsupervised on a new contract, covering hazard identification, chemical handling and access equipment use. We hold public liability insurance and maintain documented safe work procedures for height work, confined spaces and chemical use in line with the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015.
